This debut solo album represents a significant career milestone. Zakhorov describes the work as channeling the impressions, experiences, and inspirations of her international and local musical journey after 15 years of ensemble and collaborative work. Melodies and percussive elements inspired by the Balkan region, as well as Afro- and South American musical worlds, merge with the use of kaval, shepherd's flute, and flute, blending with dub, broken beat, and tribal/club elements. Rather than harmony-centered jazz traditions, she moved toward polyrhythmic, raw, bass-centered music with strong melodic elements. The album title references 'tabula rasa' (blank slate), symbolizing a fresh chapter after her extensive musical background across Europe.
