This is the inaugural release in Blue Sun's new vinyl-focused 'Blue Series.' The project is by Budapest-based artist Virág Réti, whose stage name means 'Flower of the Meadow' in Hungarian. The EP's motifs point back to early memories of sitting by a river, simply observing time flowing by. The six tracks chronicle a full day's passage, beginning with tentative morning sounds that gradually evolve into rhythm-driven compositions. Réti is an emerging figure in Hungary's experimental electronic music scene; she previously contributed to Blue Sun's VA II compilation and launched her ambient music project in fall 2024. She also founded Still Places, a Budapest experimental electronic event series. The sonic progression moves from airy, textural elements toward structured, percussion-forward arrangements, allowing moments of gentle disorder and unexpected sounds to surface.
