Jon is a Brussels-based multi-genre musician. Drawn to the saxophone from an early age, he chose to study jazz in the Netherlands. After discovering free improvisation and electronics as means of broadening his musical expression, Jon moved to Copenhagen and deepened this research through a master’s program at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory. The resulting solo project culminates in his 2026 debut album “Tell me where you start and I end”. It builds cinematic songs from electronic manipulations of his extended saxophone playing, which contributed to dance performances and multi-award-winning documentary films. Between the vibrant music scenes of Brussels and Copenhagen, he now works as a live and studio saxophonist, free improviser, arranger, producer, curator and educator across a wide range of projects and genres.
