Erol Leen has grown up in Istanbul surrounded by sheets of classical music, jazz, and ragtime lying around. After moving to Amsterdam, his attention shifted toward traditional Turkish music - leading him on a journey with an old oud from his grandmother’s attic. His productions are greatly inspired by the Dutch ambient and jazz scene, with an emphasis on experimental club influenced releases from Music From Memory and Melody As Truth, Kuniyuki Takahashi, Greg Foat. He’s part of the Anatolian psychedelic electronic duo, Oh Voyage, a project that has taken him to stages across Europe through an intensive touring schedule over the past few years.
